Lao National Cultural Hall
An imposing example of modern Lao architecture hosts performances from international art groups and occasional film screenings
Completed in 2000, this four-story structure dominates the surrounding area with its soaring columns, elaborate gold trimming and carved wooden entrance doors.
Most of the time it is used for film showings, political meetings, exhibitions, concerts and private functions. When there is no event on, the hall remains closed to the public – but the imposing architecture still makes for a great photo opportunity.
